What the f–k is up with the URLs?

February 24th, 2009 | No Comments | Posted in Site Updates

Well, if you’re seeing this post, then nothing should be wrong, but you may be a little confused by the structure, so to be on the safe side, I’ll explain it…

Here’s an example: http://logos.ctufilms.com/uncategorized/admin/2009/01/high-definition/

  • http://logos.ctufilms.com - our domain name, that hasn’t changed.
  • uncategorized - that’s the category base (i.e. what the post is labelled under when it’s added to our database)
  • admin - the username of the poster (in this case, myself)
  • 2009 - the year
  • 01 - the month
  • high-definition - the post slug

I know most of you aren’t as technically inclined as myself, but either way, its better to explain things than to get multiple “WTF” messages in my inbox…

…alright, now back to work on that forum…nyuk, nyuk, nyuk…

Forum, anyone?

(Looks around) I take that as a yes…

Alrighty, then, let’s do this thing!

Tomorrow, I’ll be installing the bbPress plugin for this software, which means your FTVLM login will finally have some use…YEEEEAAAAH!!!

…I’ll never do a Lil’ Jon impression again.

Alright, so I’ve been going through some stuff when I have an “Oh, sh–” type of moment - you know, the kind of thing you get when you realize something that’s been obvious the whole damn time?

Anyway, I finally realized that I alone cannot post the descriptions up on here. I need help…BADLY. So if you’re interested in helping, please comment below and I’ll point you in the right direction…

Commenting Restrictions Eased

September 10th, 2008 | No Comments | Posted in Site Updates

Alright, I’ve decided to be nice and remove the restriction that forces you (the visitor) to have an account with the site in order to comment on a post.

So comment, comment, comment away!

P.S. - I might also be easing the poll restrictions as well…I’ll keep ya posted.
